“David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ Transformed Into Picture Book for Kids” This looks pretty great.  I can add it to the TMBG kids albums and The Point narrated by Ringo Starr, and I will have plenty of good entertainment to disturb the minds of any kids I may have. See the whole book.

John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats has always been a bit political on his twitter account, but yesterday he upped it a notch by recording this cover of “Power in a Union” for the Wisconsin teachers’ union. The song was written in 1913 by Joe Hill, recorded much later by Billy Bragg and brought up again yesterday. It’s quite the anthem and I hope it gives the teachers a bit of encouragement.
